THE
ISRAEL CENTRE - SOUTH AFRICA
The Israel
Centre was established in South Africa in 2002. The key objective of the Centre
was to create an awareness of modern Israel, focusing on aspects such a technological
advances and the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
As the representative of
the Jewish Agency in Israel in South Africa, the Israel Centre works in conjunction
with all the various Jewish organizations to co-ordinate Israel-related issues
within the SA community as well as to assist the community in actualizing the
Zionist dream through making aliyah and promoting the opportunities in Israel
for the youth as regards education and programs.
The
Israel Centre is headed by an Israeli representative who is the facilitator, co-ordinator
and advocate for South Africa with regard to the Jewish Agency and Israel.
